Mr. Perrin has been a master at Moffatt's school for some 20 years, where life has been somewhat humdrum. However, with the arrival of young Mr. Traill, everything changes, and for Perrin, life becomes considerably less happy.

This adaptation of Hugh Walpole's work for radio was directed by David H. Godfrey and features a talented cast including Hugh Burden as Mr. Perrin and Jeremy Clyde as Mr. Traill.
