In Arabian Nights Entertainments, Scheherazade tells stories night by night to hold the attention of a king who has made her life depend on his interest. Each tale pauses before its conclusion, giving her a reason to continue when the next night comes.

This volume presents a selection of the story cycle’s layered storytelling, where one narrative can open into another. Its world of marvels and adventure draws on the traditions of Middle Eastern folk tales, though the stories vary in subject and tone.

Rather than a single continuous plot, the book offers a sequence of tales framed by Scheherazade’s urgent act of narration. It suits listeners looking for traditional legends and imaginative stories told in installments.
