The cadence and pronunciation of the narrator make me believe I am listening to an aging explorer from 100 years ago and I mean this as the highest possible compliment to his skills. The narrative is exciting and I come away with respect for Hudson Stuck. Towards the end the recitation of the author's numerous elevation figures and calculations can be skipped without missing anything of value.

This is one of the best stories I’ve listened to on Libravox. It is especially well narrated. You don’t have to be a mountain climber, I am not, to appreciate the inner strength and drive to accomplish such a feat. It’s interesting how the natives helped the two men who made the final ascent
