Treasure Chest is the fourth volume in Olive Beaupre Miller’s My Bookhouse series, a collection of literature for young readers. It brings together fairy tales, poems, stories, and nursery rhymes in one anthology.

The series was arranged in volumes of increasing difficulty, placing this book later in a gradual progression for children. Its mix of forms offers listeners a varied selection rather than a single continuous story.

First published as part of a six-volume set in the 1920s, Treasure Chest reflects an early effort to introduce children to a range of stories and verse through a carefully assembled collection.
