Detailed rvw of reading:)
Patricia
I decided to listen to see why it’s rvw’d so poorly. I disagree- the reader(s) did very well for their age- I would guess the boy is around 10-12 & does a great job telling the story. He has a Southern accent & he did well speaking for different characters. The young woman who is the 2nd reader has a pleasant voice but her audio quality is lacking a bit. Neither has a windscreen to help with p’s and b’s. Anyways- great story :) This version is very calming. Mark’s version is going to sound like Mark :) Apples to oranges but neither rotten :)

Good story and reading. Sadly the recording quality is crappy.
Not a great story...

This story could have been developed a bit more, I found it boring. In the future people will travel freely between time levels and be allowed to live anywhere, as long as they don't affect other times. If they do, time police will come in and save the day to prevent time being changed. This story is a day in the life of a timecop. First reader was really hard to listen to, background noises that were painful to the ears and hard to filter out. Second reader was better, if a bit tinny.
Listen to Mark Nelson's Version
Seven Archers
With no offense intended to the readers and their hard work, this recording is very bad. This story can be found in the "5 Short science Fiction Stories by H Beam Piper" It is read by Mark Nelson, probably one of the best readers on LibriVox. Don't waste your time with this recording.
Great Story Bad Recording

Not so good if reading but I think that H Beam Piper made an Amazing Story it's a shame that Librivox's recording is bad but the story was good!

I'm sorry people, but i found the two readers of THIS VERSION of police operation both grating and distracting. What happened to the original readers version and how did it get dropped??
