Time travel at its best

Carpenter’s travel books are a wonderful way of seeing the world as it was. I listened to this after a trip to South Africa, and particularly enjoyed hearing his descriptions of the same places I visited. One has to be prepared for some dated views of course = but that is part of experiencing history. The reader brings it to life very well.
