Pansy
When she mistakenly receives an offer of work addressed only to "Mary Brown," the lonely young heiress Mary Thornton Brown forms an audacious plan--to spend her summer not as a guest at a fashionable resort but as a hired girl in Mrs. Roberts' boarding house. Over the course of her adventure, she meets people from many different walks of life, a number of them, to her amusement, sharing her own last name. A certain gentleman boarder is particularly pleasant--but even he is not the best friend Mary will meet during her summer at Mt. Hermon. - Summary by bookAngel7 (5 hr 54 min)

Mary Brown is a delight

IMHO, this is the most modern and well written of all the Pansy stories I've read so far. Although there are still predictable elements, there are also delightful twists and turns. I really enjoyed this and so far it's my favorite Pansy story. I would give it more than five stars if I could.

The worst. She marries the wrong guy. She marries the wrong guy. SHE MARRIED THE WRONG GUY!!!!?? Carpenter is too perfect. He is the epitome of a perfect man. He’s not even perfect to a fault. He’s just a stinkin’ perfect! Kendall, on the other hand, was just expelled from college, handsome, funny, and has a decent sense of humor. Now you decide who you like better(If you like Kendall better you’ll be disappointed)
