Horrifyingly Awesome

What a great, if horrifying, tale! Entertaining, full of danger and adventure- and still very intelligent too. It gives you a little something to think about, particularly at the end... Prendick's conclusion and personal reflections are quite interesting. Also, what a great reader! Bob is excellent, I love the tone and pace of his reading...his voice reminds me a bit of James Mason.

Very good reading by Mr. Neufield. This is one of the few stories I have read or listened to in a long time that made me actually squirm in my chair as I listened to the story. A great listen and interesting look into the insanity that is the works of Dr. Moreau.
Interesting book!

It reminded me a bit of frankenstein, expressing the horrors of the unnatural throughout the book, and was mysterious and we'll written. It was quite enjoyable, and the reader was great enough that I will be listening to more of his soon.
another masterly book by hg wells

Another masterpiece of concept. His vision and ability to create a picture is so compelling. A work strange presentient and perhaps a warning in our current time of genetic manipulation and engineering.

Wonderful piece of writing and reading

The reader fits perfectly into the atmosphere of a fantastic island, inhabited by beast people and half-wild men. The book is worth recommending, especially for those who desire an elegant composition of adventure and philosophy. Hope you will find it as enjoyable as I did.

Mr. Neufeld has, again, put to ease my despair at the speedy decline of readers who not only enjoy what they've read but enjoy what they read! Hot damn!
Fantastic reading (and a suggestion...)

Audiobooks on a volunteer site should be reviewed for their reader's quality of reading, neither by the plot nor the writing style of the author. Yet this is read by Mr. Bob Neufeld, which already assures a high quality reading, as this reader is easily one of the best on LibriVox! And, to top it off, the story is chilling and thoroughly gripping, a slow yet thrilling ride through the masterful writing of H. G. Wells. When you combine the story and reading, it is nearly impossible to find a more enjoyable audiobook on LibriVox! And now, for my suggestion... "Laws", the longest Socratic dialogue, already has two versions on this app, but neither of which is particularly good. The first is read in a monotone, robotic voice, and the second is not much better, no offense to either of these readers. It would be wonderful, Mr. Neufeld, if you would consider recording a Version Three for that dialogue. It would make a great work so much more accessible for many LibriVox users.
