Jane Austen
More than eight years before the novel opens, Anne Elliot, then a lovely, thoughtful, warm-hearted 19 year old, accepted a proposal of marriage from the handsome young naval officer Frederick Wentworth. He was clever, confident, and ambitious, but poor and with no particular family connections to recommend him. Sir Walter, Anne's fatuous, snobbish father and her equally self-involved older sister Elizabeth were dissatisfied with her choice, maintaining that he was no match for an Elliot of Kellynch Hall, the family estate. Her older friend and mentor, Lady Russell, acting in place of Anne's late mother, persuaded her to break the engagement. Now 27 and still unmarried, Anne re-encounters her former love when his sister and brother-in-law, the Crofts, take out a lease on Kellynch. Wentworth is now a captain and wealthy from maritime victories in the Napoleonic wars. However, he has not forgiven Anne for rejecting him. While publicly declaring that he is ready to marry any suitable young woman who catches his fancy, he privately resolves that he is ready to become attached to any appealing young woman except for Anne Elliot. Persuasion (dramatic reading)

I loved this novel, and the dramatic reading of it. This was my first dramatic reading version, and it was very well done. I was easily able to relax and enter into the story, the readers said their lines splendidly. I can't believe I waited so long to read Persuasion, I have loved Jane Austen's other books. This was a great story, I love second chances in life.
Great

This book was very good and enjoyed very much!! I like the reader Tracia G if that is how you spell it. Please guys don't complain about how she reads 😡 I like the way she reads she is my favourite reader. If I could read like that I would be happy. And if she ruins the book don't listen to it. Simply. When you say things like that then people would not want to read books anymore cause we don't appreciate it .
A Cinderalla Jane Austen Classic!

Charming audio! Excellent readers for each character and narrator! A must read for every young person! For every lady to know her role as a daughter in her Father's house until marriage and for every man to know our expectations of a gentleman!ðð

Everyone is played very well! Esp. Anne, Captain Wentworth, Mrs. Smith, Louisa, and everyone else!
wonderful voice actors
This book was very good, but not quite as good as the other Austen novels. If I was not spoiled by her other books I would be raving about this book. Mr. Wentworth was not as good as Austen's usual male characters. The voice actors did a fantastic job. 👍
My slight problem with the narrator
Atikah Dayana Ab Malek
As a non-English speaker, I had a hard time picking up what the narrator reads due to their slightly muffled way of speaking. I constantly find myself having to repeat chapters to understand the story. Despite this, I still enjoyed the reading.
A Repeated Favourite

I first listened to the reading of Persuasion (My favourite of Jane Austen’s works) on a road trip and enjoyed it so much that I regularly come back to it for enjoyment.
Great story and an excellent dramatic reading

This is my favorite of the six. Many thanks to all the cast for their work on this wonderful story. I've listened to it easily 20 times.
