Virgil
The Aeneid is the most famous Latin epic poem, written by Virgil in the 1st century BC. The story revolves around the legendary hero Aeneas, a Trojan prince who left behind the ruins of his city and led his fellow citizens to Italy, where he became the ancestor of the Romans. The first six of the poem’s twelve books tell the story of Aeneas’ wanderings from Troy to Italy, while the poem’s second half treats the Trojans’ victorious war upon the Latins. This is the recording of J.W.MacKail's prose translation. (Summary by Leni) (10 hr 42 min)

Tracks keep repeating

I don't know if it's the recording, my phone, or what but certain tracks keep repeating. I tried keeping track but, despite knowing my place, I couldn't get the track to resume where it left off. The narrators were fantastic. It's a shame that I can't get it to work. I'll try another version.
A True Epic

This story is a true epic, presenting an after story to the Trojan War. A must read/listen. The recording is pretty fair for a multireader.

Lovely. Thank you. one of two versions I've heard here. Very enjoyable narrator. He sounds like a weary sea captain spinning a tale on the bow.
