Welsh Fairy Tales and Other Stories

Gelesen von LibriVox Volunteers

(4 Sterne; 14 Bewertungen)

A collection of Welsh Fairy tales. These tales were collected by me whilst living in Anglesea during the winter 1891-2. With the exception of the French story, they were told me and I took them down at the time. In most cases I have done but little "editing", preferring to give the stories as told. P. H. Emerson, April 1894. (Summary from Author's Note) (1 hr 42 min)

Fairy and Rural Tales- Short and sweet

(4 Sterne)

These tales are amusing but most are *very* short. I would have loved to have heard the tales lengthened and fleshed out. I guess they are what they are. Although the tales are ostensibly Welsh, several feature Irish people and the last one is in French. ??
