Anne Brontë
Agnes Grey is the daughter of a minister, whose family comes to financial ruin. Desperate to earn money to care for herself, she takes one of the few jobs allowed to respectable women in the early Victorian era, as a governess to the children of the wealthy. In working with two different families, the Bloomfields and the Murrays, she comes to learn about the troubles that face a young woman who must try to rein in unruly, spoiled children for a living, and about the ability of wealth and status to destroy social values. After her father's death, Agnes opens a small school with her mother and finds happiness with a man who loves her for herself. (Summary by Wikipedia)

Great Dramatic Reading By A wonderful Cast
Jpassservais
This dramatic reading was really inspiring inasmuch as it (besides being portrayed by the cast so well) reminds me once again of the clarity and feeling the author has given to her work. I will not go on and on as I have done in most of my reviews by praising each and every actor and reader but all having done a wonderful job and I am sure the author would and probably is pleased with the way it has been done. Thank you so much--everyone who gives so freely of themselves to those of us who just listen at no cost to ourselves but to our great benefit. God bless you and God bless Librivox for this dramatic effort which was so well done.
Interesting Story
Hospitable Georgian
What a terrific little story! This was my second Anne Bronte to listen to. I am impressed with her style and detail as well as her ability to intertwine both seriousness and humor with both characters with morals and those without. The readers were well presented. Only one speaks a little too quickly.
A Bronte sister with a humorous touch!

Once again these readers have delivered a great performance. Although, many critics give poor Anne the the least praise; I enjoyed her stories most. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone....so you’ll have to see why for yourself.
A Beautiful Quick-Read Of A Classic
LearnFrom&EnjoyEverything
There is a part in our heroines journey at quite the beginning of the book, which part is not as - gripping - as the rest of it. Otherwise, I felt the love story in this to keep the reader in great anticipation, which I thoroughly enjoyed. A beautiful quick-read of a classic. Reminded me of Austen, though with quicker pace, which are both great qualities in my "books". I am comfortable with a one reader reads than this dramatic reading. I am not entirely sure yet how I like these. I feel there to be a greater chance in the dramatic readings that some character's or reader's voice doesn't suit the experience naturally to ones likening.
A perfect read
it was amazing !!! I loved it ! The lady who spoke Anges Grey was perfect she was so enjoyable to listen to, and I will definitely listen to this again. Some of the voices though, did not match, but overall, it was very well done ! Abooklover
Wonderful classic

This is superbly read by the various readers...an excellent edition of this classic. The story is one that never ages and so different from the rubbish churned out often in this day and age. Thank you Librivox volunteers!
Another typical Anne Bronte story
TheReader
Readers were mostly great. A few voice choices not so much! Column not always consistent... Cute little story but wish heroine had been of stronger character. Her morals were excellent though!
Wow

Great, I hope I find more books like this. Thanks to those voice actors as well! tbh, at first it was quite boring but give it some time. I promise it gets better.
