The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
Gelesen von LibriVox Volunteers
Patanjali
Yoga sutras by Patanjali is a seminal work in yoga, this book is more about control of mind and the true goal of yoga. The sutras are extremely brief, and the translation in neat English makes it very easy for people to understand the ancient Sanskrit text. It starts with the birth and growth of spiritual man through the control of mind. In all, this is a "all in one" book for yoga philosophy written by the master himself. I have read Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and this is not it. This reading is more about the book.
Loveeeed the book, it was hard to understand some parts do to accent of the reader (from India or those regions), but the message of book is worth making an extra effort. Thanks.

The translation is good, especially for the time period. But the commentary is dreadful. It's more of a poorly written Theosophic tract giving a person's derailed thoughts on the text.

Can’t understand the accent, unfortunately. Understood every 4 out of 5 words or so, which made all of it impossible to follow. Had to give up on it

The text is amazing. While I appreciate the efforts of thiscommunity, I wish is for a single reader. It's a little jarring to have such wildly different voices.
Great read!
