A little boring

(3 Sterne)

Although Marion Park is supposed to be the main character, the author focuses on other characters for about a third of the book. This scrapes in at three stars for me. Although it was at times spiritually encouraging, and surprisingly feminist for it's time, it was somewhat dull and insipid. Nothing truly interesting ever seemed to happen, yet I was sufficiently engaged to finish reading it. The narrator read well, although she was a little fast for me.

another time

Well read, a time passed with many moral actions that aren’t so evident today thank you

Lovely!

Enjoyed this story for girls...several quoteable and memorable passages. The characters were fun, and the story encouraging!
