it's unfortunate that so many people don't like the narrator. I found his tone to be helpful because the drops made it clear when a sentence or statement is coming to a close. I think it's an intelligent and thoughtful style of reading. I would suggest that those with bunchy panties about his voice narrate this themselves, and upload it for free since undoubtedly they can make a free recording of Aristotle's works better than this narrator.

Many of the librivox readers are international. It would probably be easier for the listener to "imagine" they are listening to the "accent" of the writer by proxy. Speech patterns such as inflections etc. are easily overlooked when you realize that the speaker may be of the same langauge/dialect of the writer, for example, the reader may be Greek. This scenario gives the reading a "dramatized flavor" for an otherwise dry although enjoyable subject. I can only thank the readers/volunteers who take their precious time to give of themselves. Thank you Librivox Readers. Charity
YES, that's an enjoyable reading!

Unlike the person down below who rated 1/5, I don't think the narrator is even bad, on the contrary, I did enjoy his reading, the tone is clear, the voice serene, no complaints whatsoever to his read. Furthermore, as another reviewer said, if it really were as bad as that person thinks it is (which it isn't!), then please, do make your own audiobook with yourself reading and upload it freely here on LibriVox for us to rate and review, I'm sure it'll be JUST PERFECT and I'm really looking forward to make a lengthy review of it!

this reader drops his tone at the end of phrases. it gets very anoying... its to bad because it is distracting. the reader should read it fluently as if speaking.
problem with chap 1 and 4

after a few seconds in chap 1 it jumps to chap 4, and after a few more seconds to chap 8. frustrating!
