I think this is a brilliant book. It was so very well written with excellent descriptions and an intriguing complex plot. I would like to say thank you to all the excellent readers who took the time to present the book to people like me. It is very much appreciated.
Beautifully read, a moving tragic tale

would have liked a happier ending

of the three victor Hugo books I have listened two have had sad endings. time to find a more upbeat author. the story was engaging but the chapters where the author devoted to explaining the history behind a topic could have been marked as optional. while interesting in a historical sense i found myself wanting to get back to the story and what was happening with the characters. overall a good book though.
A story which has relevance today where societal inequality still reigns.
