The Fantastic Four is a fictional American team of comic-book superheroes in the Marvel Comics universe. First appearing in the historically groundbreaking The Fantastic Four #1 (Nov. 1961), which helped to usher a new naturalism in the medium, they were the first superhero team created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby.There are four core friends and family members traditionally associated with the Fantastic Four, who gained superpowers after exposure to cosmic rays during a scientific space mission.

A nice way to pass the time, but if you expect comic book "continuity" you'll be disappointed. Seems G rated, maybe PG. And because of time constraints, some things aren't well explained, so some things seem to happen to the FF for "no reason." If you've heard the Superman radio show, or The Adventures of the Falcon, they are both better. But forget all that. And forget that, for no good reason, Submariner has a Transylvanian accent. Just enjoy the FF series for what it is; a free comic book on audio tape.
