The Dog Crusoe and His Master
Gelesen von Allyson Hester
R. M. Ballantyne
This is a story of an adventure involving a young man, his dog, and two friends. Together they wander through the Western prairies on a mission to make peace between the "pale-faces" and the "Red men". They face many perils and become heroes many times over. This wonderful story takes the characters (and the reader) on an action-packed journey through the Western prairies during the times when relations between the white man and the Natives were not always peaceful. Adventure in the western wilderness!
TheBookworm
Fine reading of a little-known adventure story. Ms. Hester's attractive southern US accent and idiosyncratic style exemplify the LibriVox spirit. Well done indeed! Book Kat
This is one of my favorite historical fiction books! The author did a great job , I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! The reader did a fantastic job; she was really easy to listen to.
Good story ruined
Susan
Yet another good story ruined by a narrator attempting character voices. Narrator’s natural voice is pleasant but her attempt at voices makes the book unlistenable.
Homeschool Mom
Loved the voice acting during the reading. An enjoyable and entertaining tale that sticks with you long after it's done.
this is the best story ever

Character Assassin!

Native Americans were respected as excellent hunters even by their enemies. They didnt torture and eat dogs. There were/are other cultures, very present in the American west, that are known for that sort of cruelty, but not the natives. This book is a waste of a good narrator.
Needs ALOT of work
Princess-Love Dogs-WolfPack
It's so-so, because it isn't telling you a lot about the dog!!!
