Miss Cora Parkhurst is an irresponsible and flighty Sunday school teacher for a group of young ladies. She has simply no time to prepare the lessons, nor any knowledge of what it means to be a sincere Christian. Mr. Robert Hammond is an earnest, dedicated Sunday school teacher for a group of young men. Mr. Hammond invites Miss Parkhurst to the weekly teachers' meeting to spur her on, only to discover how much spiritual help and encouragement she needs! Meanwhile, Miss Parkhurst's fiance, Mr. George Tracy, is ambivalent towards any religious activities that interfere with his and Cora's relationship, and despises Mr. Hammond. Enjoyed listening as I do my Swedish Weaving.

Worth A Listen

Great book centering around two Sunday School teachers, one who is saved and the other who is not. Throw in the complicating elements of a wordly fiancé and straying Sunday school students and it gets interesting. The progression of learning to come to faith in Christ and also walking out your faith made this enjoyable. The ending was not what I suspected and came quicker than I thought it should have. It leaves some speculation on the part of the listener on what might eventually happen to the central three characters. I have my own hopes…

thank you again, TriciaG

of course it was a good story. Pansy's works are timeless. funny how this book covers my hubby's sermon (Romans 8:28) from last Sunday and also a discussion (women speaking in church) that has come up a few times this week. awesome! June 2021

It was an interesting book, I was a little bummed that it ended when it did. I wanted to hear more about George coming to the Lord. but all in all excellent!

Great Story!
