exellent book reader awful
steve
reader has the most annoying voice she does a strange upward enflexion at end of every sentence followed by a big pause after several words. more singing than reading shame because this book has the makings of something great
The rhyming end of every sentence is very irritating & makes me forget the meaning. Why rhyme at the end of every sentence?
I had an excellent audio book experience!
Alan Tomás Rodríguez Penney
I really enjoyed this audio book, I could really visualize the epic battle scenes, especially that description about the phalanx! I agree the reader's continuous inflections on every sentence could get annoying, but I enjoyed her pace and clarity, making it an easy audio book to follow!

great book , just a pity about narrator adopting a sing song voice, the upward inflection on the last word is really grating on the nerves. The idea that this is the way English people speak is absurd
Lizzie Driver saves the day

I would marry Lizzie Driver. She's awesome. The book itself is okayish. Too much generalization. More a general history lesson than deep analysis. But that's okay too if that's what your after.

This is about worst narration I can imagine, not near adequate for such a valuable history. The phrasing does not match the text and the inflection is monotonous and not compatible with the English language.

Didn't know if I was listening to an audio book or a tour guide. I'm sure the book is great, but I can't tolerate the inflections used by the reader.
didn't make it past 2nd chapter
lovely voice... Annoying narration. the awkward pausing and last word of each and every phrase was too much!
