Sally's job as UN Space Commissioner gets quite interesting when a ship full of time-displaced people is discovered in the Atlantic. This also enables Sally to lead an all important peace mission to Baltan. The cold war with Baltan is finally showing signs of ending with the return of Mercy Collins, and Sally spends a year on the city trying to forge a new relationship with Earth. But now her associate commissioner arrives with a new problem. New Ontario, a planet Sally has visited before, is suddenly becoming important again. The cruel "masters" who rule the planet have apparently been displaced by a band of rebels with mysterious powers. Growing on the surface of this world is a massive structure that is generating enormous power. Earth wants answers, and Sally is being asked to help. But she won't do it alone. No human is immune to the Masters' influence, but perhaps non-humans would be. Sally accelerates another project she has been quietly overseeing. She contacts Ian, who has been tasked to make first contact with the Szzzyyyxx, a peaceful, if unusual species on the other side of a fold beyond the asteroid belt. Sally must put a strain on this new friendship to ask for help in what could easily deteriorate into a war. Because more is happening on New Ontario than just an insurrection. A band of former slaves now have the aid of a mysterious benefactor who is using them to build a machine that bends time. But who is this benefactor and what does he want? The answer is more terrifying than the question. Now Sally must work to prevent a disaster that could have implications throughout all of human history.

I would highly recommend listening to the whole series.

Thoughts very well provoked in Borneo

This next book in the series from Paul Joseph represents a cross circuit workout for the mind as new concepts and ideas about time, space travel and other life forms are presented one after another. There were times when I drew a comparison to the book The Shack, as in this case a benevolent life form tries to explain time and the multiverse to our Ms Buds and convey a motherly sense that all is in control. Ultimately, this book provides perspective on our place in the universe and the hope that our intellect and sense of right will win the day. I commend this book for the sheer depth achieved in the extremely convoluted plot line. This is a thought provoking book. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

This may be destined to become a classic!

This was an imaginative story with action, adventure, and science fiction. I found this interesting and well written. I love classic science fiction literature and I was hesitant to even take the time to read something modern however I found this to be well written imaginative and fun to listen to and the reader who is the author read it perfectly.

twisting the multiverse

Well well! Twists and turns. All our decisions are cumulative. Is the universe a probability density function that can be forever manipulated? Or does it run down the most probable track branching all the time? I love his characters, they are strong all around. One last book to go. Thank you to Paul for many wonderful hours of listening pleasure.

WOW!

I am amazed at the imagination it took to create this journey. One chapter draws you deeper into the next. I found it hard to stop listening and pick up tomorrow. My mind is still enjoying the concepts presented. The narration is wonderfully done. I can't think how it could be improved. Thank you so much for creating this universe. Peter T.

Wonderful

Comparatively, shorter than the other stories in the series, but still amazing. all the characters come together as they had to along their quest. all the while, growing intellectually. Even the writer himself, and his narration, have become increasingly better. The way he captures the accents and nuances of the characters really adds to the story. Looking forward to the next book!

so many alternatives!

This is another fine work of science faction, yes Faction! Paul J. Joseph is a visionary and his story's to me are believable. I discovered his books just 2 days ago and have listened straight through. I'm now going back to the first installment. And will listen to the 5 books in order.
