It is the story of the Chevalier des Grieux, a student, who sees Manon as she is being taken to a convent, and instantly falls in love with her. He offers to save her from the convent, and the two young lovers run away to Paris. This story was too stupid for me to continue. The main characters were given no common sense, values, or morals. Everything (up to the point I read) they did was for self pleasure. They had no honor or respect for others, themselves, or work. It does not motivate me to care what else happens to them.
