Tincture, An Apocalyptic Proposition

Rhamuel and the last of his family, Abranyah, travel their barren world, shack to shack, selling tinctures to keep a full belly and evading the dogmatists to keep their throats safe. Time has turned funny after The Whatever, an apocalyptic event that few remember and even fewer can explain, danger now as commonplace as the unrecognizable relics of war, and the madman Aphulan—along with an iron rule over his small township—may hold the answers. With a cure for The Sick and a passion to uncover what happened to their world, Rhamuel and Abranyah set off on a journey to the “other place,” the days before The Whatever, and ready themselves for a glimpse into what happened, and what was always meant to happen next.

This is one mind bending tail, if my mind was not warped already

(5 Sterne)

if my mind was not warped already I would have been in trouble. this book will take you on a trip that you never even thought about, and if your mind is not already a little bit warped you better hold on to your britches because it's getting ready to be a bumpy ride, but like growing up on a dirt bike in the strip mines of East Tennessee it's a wild ride and quite enjoyable with all the twists turns and drop offs that you will encounter. unlike most books that I listen to I got so into this one that I stayed up till 5 a.m. to finish it and had to get up at 5:30 to start my day and it was well worth it. thank you so much to the author for your hard work, this book had to have run you around and around again to lay all this out in your mind, WOW YOU,MUST N BE WARPED TOO !!

Brilliant

I rarely leave obligatory 5 star ratings. Maybe I'm picky, or I maybe I reserve those for audible "unicorns." This story is of that calibre. After taking into account the flawless reading, the descriptions, and the story itself, of course! All of these factors made such a wonderful story that at times, I felt as if I was at a play house. The author actual invented a type of talk just for the story. Only complimented by the author's soothing voice. I believe this author will be counted as one of the greats in time. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful story.

This is an exceptional audio book. The music that accompanies the reading is done in such a way as to enhance the story beautifully. I was captivated from start to finish with this truly original story and the strength of the characters within it has left them clear in my mind long after listening to this production. one of the best journeys I had been taken on, a must listen to book.

Sublimely satisfied in Borneo

This is an absolutely sublime story with truly skilful narration and punctuated by a range of entirely sympathetic music and song. Matthew Jordan has created a landscape...way of life and even dialect that is highly engaging. I was invested in the characters at an early stage and remained on tender hooks at all times wondering what new concept or proposition would be developed. I'm so pleased that I came across this book and author...now...straight on to book 2.

A very trippy and entertaining tale

This story was well written and very entertaining. The reader's voice reminded me of the actor Matt Frewer and was a great match for the subject matter. too. Some other great things about this are the music went well with it and there are no recaps at the beginning of each chapter so the story moves along at a nice pace.

wow.

I simply cannot believe how awesome an dynamic this book was. I read all the time, and go through a lot of good stories This one was a masterpiece, and shall never leave my harddrive. I bought the gunslinger series after to catch up on that before I dig into the second book. A fucking brain bending masterpiece my friend.

I'm a big Stephen King Gunslinger fan, but had no idea there were any references when I first started listening to the audio book. I normally favor audio drama (due to various voices) but the story, the way it moves along, the characters, and fantastic music just hooked me in. ...

Really enjoyed this book. In fact, of the several titles I've listend to from this site, this is my favorite thus far. Loved the King references and most of all, the strange phrases and syntax spoken by the denziens of the Barren which I found intriguing and which really made ...
