The tone of this series seems to be similar to that of soap operas: often sentimental material, very clearly-conveyed characters and motivations, very little ambiguity. If this is to your liking, this is a good series for you. I read that this series ran during the daytime on Saturdays, which makes me think it was meant for the same audience as the weekdays. Production quality is creditable but not very notable, to my ear.
A Saturday morning romance?

From the title, I had assumed this would be an anthology of Hollywood movie plots -- like Lux Radio Theater, but apparently all or most were original stories, and the show was a surprise hit -- presumably with Carnation-customer housewives as a weekend alternative to daily soaps. John Dunning's book "On the Air: The Encyclopedia of Old-Time Radio" says cast members sometimes arrived in pajamas and robes for the early morning broadcast!
