One of my favorites...

(5 Sterne)

...but not for reasons that might endear it to you. This show seems to have been meant to be heard only at night, when people were trying to become sleepy. Its format is poetry read over music, with some interludes of just music. The poetry is read gently; the music is played the same. (The vocals are done by a close-harmony pair (trio?) of women who even occasionally hum in harmony.) Even the sponsor is a mattress company! So I like it to lull me to sleep. The poetry and music wash over me and I'm off to slumberland. EDIT: To append the review citing the Sonoma County radio station, the article is here: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/03/28/PK4TVN0IH.DTL&type=tvradio The show is an entirely new one, and is soliciting poetry from the public.

Wider than a mile

Here's a kicker.. According to a Mar. 30, 2008 article in the SFChronicle this radio program, which was begun in the 1930s for a Cincinatti radio station, has been given new legs by a Sonoma radio station, KSVY 91.3, with the original host, Ward Glenn, 88 years old at the time of the article! It can be heard live, streaming, on Sunday evenings from 9 to 10. KSVY appears to have a number of other very original appearing programs.

Great to fall asleep to

It's hard to stay awake to this. It's so smooth, so peaceful.
