Ann Sothern was enjoyable in her role in "The Adventures of Maisie." Different than her staring role a decade or so later as "Private Secretary" on TV. She did very well in light comedy parts. Ann Sothern's charm was apparent in her charactization of Maisie.

Maisie is a smart and no-nonsense -- but also kind and compassionate -- young entertainer who is often down on her luck, working wherever she can to pay the rent. Each episode takes her on a new adventure. Ann Sothern is perfect in the role.
