It should be noted that the second "Dancing Dan's Christmas" is actually "The Blonde Mink". I'm on my second pass through this amazing series and I must have missed that episode last time, as I just heard it for the first time today. Otherwise, fantastic recordings of one of the greatest radio shows I've listened to. I found this series when I discovered it had been produced by Alan Ladd's Mayfair Productions. HUGE fan of Box 13, the only other radio show I know of that Mayfair had its hand in. This show is, really fun and ranged from hilarious to heart-breaking.

The best Otr around

(5 Sterne)

Broadcast from January to December 1949, with reruns well into the early 1950s, The Damon Runyon Theatre dramatized 52 of Runyon's short stories for radio. Produced by Mayfair Productions for syndication to local radio stations, John Brown played "Broadway," who served as host and narrator. The best set of short stories ever produced , the characters are superb and all interlinked. well worth the listen

Runyon stories on CD

(5 Sterne)

I would love to be able to listen to these stories other than on my laptop. In any event, I don't seem to be able to download any for free as suggested. So can I buy any selections on CD, and, if so, can they be acquired in the UK? Love the stories, love the musical 'Guys & Dolls'...just want to keep listening, anywhere, anytime. Old Timer.

excellent

John Brown nails the role of Broadway. He is both funny and sensitive at once. The stories are well written and the characters come alive

Great Fun
