Boston Blackie is a great way to spend an evening in the theater of the mind. Sound quality is very good for the age of the recordings. Not very true to life, but alot of great entertainment isn't. Give Blackie a listen. You'll love it.

I've always had trouble with the name. I assumed it was Blackie from Boston but that doesn't seem to be the case. He's meant to be the good guy but usually spends time in jail each episode and has a friendly detective who's aim is to send him to the electric chair. He also tends to get bashed on the head and to thump various policemen a lot. Excellent sound quality for the age and although the stories are a bit far fetched they stand up well to the passage of time. Well worth downloading.
