Adventures by Morse 52 Eps (2 Promos & 52 Eps)
Various
(52 Episodes & 2 Promos) "Adventures by Morse" (starring Elliott Lewis, David Ellis & Russell Thorson as Captain Bart Friday at different times during the series), is the story of a globe-trotting San Francisco-based private investigator. Friday's sidekick from Texas, Skip Turner, was played primarily by Jack Edwards & occasionally by Barton Yarborough. The tales covered such areas as espionage, kidnapping and murder, along with secret Nazi bases, snake worshipers and voodoo. The 2 promos & the 52 (30-minute) eps, were produced in the mid-1940s. Dates of production & the earliest broadcasts are uncertain: several Internet sites mention that the entire series was broadcast in 1944, but in the final two chapters of 'It's Dismal to Die,' it is clearly stated that the Second World War has ended. Advertisements have been found for broadcasts in 1946 and 1949. The series was presented in 13-episode blocks (each containing two stories), with each ten-chapter story ending with a teaser for the following three-chapter story. The City of the Dead and A Coffin for the Lady are mentioned in the promotional recordings as the first and second story respectively. SOURCE: Wikipedia ** The two noted promos are excerpts only, not actual episodes; I have posted them, as recorded in 1943, for sequencey only. OTR * def gp ddh

Written by the same man responsible for I Love an Adventure and I love a Mystery, these are more in the same line of great suspense stories. This selection is better than what Archive.org has for the other two titles because these are complete and in order. Excellent stuff, and well worth being spellbound by.
enjoyably scary and sometimes clever

Re-audiobooking a classic. Love main character. Some gore, walking dead, etc., but usually enjoyablly scary. Well performed different by cast members. Annoying siren sound each chapter but otherwise a fun listen and some very clever murders. Highly Recommended.
