In this profound collection of homilies, St. John Chrysostom delves into the heart of Jesus' teachings as presented in the Gospel of Matthew, specifically Chapters 5-7, known as The Sermon on the Mount. These sermons illuminate the ethical and spiritual principles that form the foundation of Christian life, addressing themes such as humility, mercy, and the nature of true righteousness.

Chrysostom, renowned for his eloquence and pastoral insight, offers a detailed commentary that not only explains the text but also applies its lessons to the lives of believers. His reflections encourage listeners to reflect on their own faith and actions, making this work both a theological exploration and a practical guide for living a Christ-centered life.

As one of the most significant early Christian writers, Chrysostom's interpretations provide a rich historical context and a deep understanding of the Sermon on the Mount, distinguishing this work as a vital resource for anyone seeking to grasp the essence of Jesus' message.

I've only listened to the first chapter, but it was so good to hear solid, deep, unflinching teaching! Not too hard to understand despite the time period, & I didn't find the reader monotonous at all (ref. another review). Not very expressive, but far from monotonous.

Excellent

I want to personally thank you, good woman who read this to me. The reading is very pleasing to hear. And the content does not need me to endorse it because my praise would only cheapen the value it contains.
