All Star Western Theatre - Single Episodes

(4.5 stars; 4 reviews)

The All Star Western Theatre graced the airwaves in the mid-1940s and featured a variety of different shows. These programs delivered riotous laughs and down-to-earth humor, providing a pleasant alternative to heavier and more intense broadcasts.

The music of these old radio shows was performed by a group called "The Riders of the Purple Sage," fronted by Foy Willing. Enjoy a rootin' tootin' hoe-down with the best of the West and immerse yourself in the charm of All Star Western Theatre!

Of the 78 episodes produced, 66 are listed as being in circulation today. So sit back, relax, and enjoy some well-produced radio from the 40s.

All star family!

(4 stars)

Episode #6, Drifty, with the 1st song, Sioux City Sue, and the last song, Cool Water(a Riders in the Sky favorite). The stars are Jack Holt, his son Tim and daughter Jennifer. The enjoyable plot involves card gambling. A couple of years later Jack would be in the all star Western Christmas movie, Trail of Robin Hood.

Thank you
