Expertly Read by Cathy Barratt

This material is a bit of a minefield for the reader, but Cathy Barratt avoids the mines like an expert (thank you for this wonderful reading). I downloaded it on a whim, knowing little of the author or character, but was entertained. One or two random thoughts: Would a man make a better reader? Possibly, but I doubt that the difference would be significant. I was very slightly put off by her accent, however her flawless French rescued the reading for me. Pacing and pronunciation are superb - apart from a clinker or two (it seemed to me like a word or two was not pronounced correctly - but I didn't check them so any mispronunciations may be simply due to my ear). Why only 4 stars? Because I cannot give 4,5. A fine reading and a very good rating considering this is a translation from the original French.
Terrific audio production.

Excellent audio production of a classic. This is a great entry into the series for newcomers, and Ms. Barrett is a compelling reader. She does a nice job with the french names, has a clear and pleasant voice, good pacing, and I hope to listen to more of her work in the future. Great job.
Beautifully Done!

Cate B. does a terrific job with the material. Great inflection. Nice pacing. Excellent pronunciation. This was my introduction to both the reader and to Arsené Lupin, and I could not be happier with both!
Light-hearted Fun

Well-written and entertaining, though without much depth. The reader did a great job. I will likely listening to more from both Maurice Leblanc and Cate Barrat.
