This is an excellent solo reading of Charles Johnston’s interpretation of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, spoken clearly by Maggie Russell. Her emphases and phrasing are more staccato than legato, which for a text such as this, I find helpful to grasp subtle aspects of Johnston’s explorations and distinctions of the sutras’ vocabulary and logical system. Highly recommended.

This is a must listen for all those spiritually inclined. Maggie does a good job of oration;however, I have a few hang-ups. I wish there was a clear demarcation between the interpreters commentary and the actual text. I plan to listen to some other readings and I enjoyed this so much that I know eventually I’ll get a hard copy for study, as the terms and ideas explored here are incredibly complex and deep.
wonderful reading!

Excellent presentation and narration. Some of the commentary needs correction, such as the implication that thought travels faster than the speed of light (it doesn't), but overall this is well well worth the listen.
