Thank You Lee Smalley

I listen to a wide variety of books, depending upon mood for the most part. However, I have never felt much interest in shipboard adventures. I'm not even sure why I downloaded Last Entry. All I can say, I definitely was not disappointed. Lee Smalley is an excellent reader. I thoroughly enjoyed his style. The descriptions of the boats and of life at sea brought me into a world I know practically nothing about. This surprised me most of all, the author's ability to make the reader feel present, aboard ship, during the 1830s. Great job!
Creative tale set on the sea

Thank you Lee Smalley for reading this original tale and making it available to us! W. Clark Russell writes with enchanting word choices and phrases. No doubt about it, Russell is an authentic seaman and shares his knowledge in the story. A retired seaman outfits a yacht and talks his engaged daughter into going to sea with him to encourage his health. Tradegy befalls them. The story had me gasping in surprise several times and tearing up at others.
Bravo from Borneo
Lord Jim
Delightful seafaring tale and very capably narrated. As usual for the author there is great detail and description. It's easy to visualise every situation. Also great insight to sailing and life on board ship at the time. Loved the novels plot and jeopardy. Happy to recommend.
Great Reader, Okay Story

Lee Smalley is another great reader to come out of LV. I enjoyed his reading very much. The story - not so much. It was a bit contrived to me. But to each his own. Thanks for bringing this one to life, Lee!

An interesting tale, even if the ending is too perfect. This reader is new to me, but he is very good.
