Sophist
Plato
Read by Geoffrey Edwards
Sophist is a profound dialogue by Plato that delves into the nature of existence, exploring the concepts of being and not-being. Through a series of philosophical inquiries, Plato distinguishes between the true philosopher, who seeks wisdom and truth, and the sophist, who is more concerned with rhetoric and persuasion.
Set against the backdrop of ancient Greece, this work invites listeners to engage with complex ideas about reality and illusion. As the dialogue unfolds, it challenges the audience to consider the implications of these distinctions in their own understanding of knowledge and belief.
With its rich philosophical discourse, Sophist not only contributes to the foundations of Western thought but also serves as a critical examination of the art of argumentation. This audiobook, narrated by Geoffrey Edwards, brings to life Plato's intricate arguments and invites reflection on the nature of truth in a world filled with competing perspectives.

very interesting text
Dust&Ash
Definitely one of Plato's most interesting and complex dialogues. I think I'll have to examine it more closely. Edward's is a very fine reader, clear and precise. Thank you for uploading.
a robot, but still not too bad

a very metallic, computer-sounding reading with a small touch of humanity. still understandable, however.
