The Symposium (version 2) (dramatic reading)
Plato
Read by LibriVox Volunteers
In one of Plato's more accessible works, Apollodorus tells a friend about a drinking party (or symposium) attended by many of intellectuals of late 5th century Athens. The men are one their second night of celebration for Agathon's victory at the city Dionysia, and decide that instead of drinking, they should give speeches in praise of love. - Summary by Libby Gohn

Reviews
Engaging and Clear
Grammaticus
Characters are well acted, though the names are a bit clunky. Drunk Alcibiades is creepy, but I guess he's supposed to be? The different English accents (Indian, Australian?, English-y, and a few Americans) actually helped distinguish the characters quite well. My favorite Anne of Green Gables voice-actor was in this one and a couple other top-notch Librivox voices who are as generous with their time as they are talented with their voice-acting.
Good job
Beekeeper
Some of the voices can be hard to understand, but overall a wonderful resource. It can be jarring when the narrator cuts in for "Socrates said," in the middle of a sentence.
Marcus
Although the voice acting of Alcibiades detracted from my enjoyment at times, this was a great performance by all involved.

Great insight what is to love and to be loved
