I HAVE RARELY WRITTEN A REVIEW BUT I REALLY LOVED THIS BOOK EVEN THOUGH IT WAS VERY SAD IN PARTS. OF COURSE CATS...AND DOGS..UNDERSTAND AND CATS AND DOGS FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES UNDERSTAND THAT LANGUAGE. HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF THAT. THEY ARE MULTI LINGUAL. I AM A CAT JUDGE, BRED 10 BREEDS OF PEDIGREED CATS OVER 40 YEARS SO YOU WILL UNDERSTAND MY FEELINGS FOR AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE CAT. CATS AND DOGS CAN DO THE MOST INCREDIBLE THINGS, EVEN SAVING LIVES AS WELL AS CAN OTHER ANIMALS AND BIRDS. WE SHOULD NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THEM. MOST ANIMALS HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME ORGANS IN THEIR BODIES AS WE DO, THE SAME SIGHT AND SENSES........THEY ARE MERELY A DIFFERENT SHAPE. IT WOULD BE A HAPPIER WORLD IF PEOPLE ACCEPTED THIS AS FACT. CRUELTY WOULD CEASE AND BLEEDING AN ANIMAL TO DEATH WOULD BE A THING OF THE PAST. EVEN A TARANTULA CAN BREAK IF DROPPED. ANIMALS ARE THE NEAREST THING TO HUMAN THAN THERE CAN EVER BE.
Cute but not too cutesy, entertaining

Very well reader and nicely written. A tale of the true trials and tribulations of a rather unfortunate cat. Written for a child, but quite amusing for adults. Also, a wonderful sideways look at a typical household a century or so ago- cabbages in the cellar, barns full of rats, maids-of-all-work and all.

Cute book! Easy to listen to and read well. quite funny in parts too. enjoyed it. Not sure if its suitable for sensitive children as in the introduction it mentions the cat being drowned to rid it of its poor health and some is a bit old fashioned but its much more easy going then most books here.
Short and sweet. Very enjoyable
