Cosmic Horror At Its Finest

If you like H.P. Lovecraft or his ilk, you'll love Blackwood. His descriptions are magnificent; they really put you in the setting if you can wrap your head around what he's trying to say. Good narration, very easy to get caught up inside of it. Don't hate on it, the slow parts really flesh out the suspense.

Wow! The author never disappoints. Suspence and unpredictable plot.

Trippy is as trippy does. Apparently you weren't just freaking out that one time. Don't ignore your animals when they alert to intrusion for no apparent reason. Call the ghost hunters immediately. Tense and atmospheric as always from Blackwood. A definite precursor to the likes of King and Straub.
Didn't grip me

I listened to the first story then passed on the others. Just not for me, perhaps?

I never heard something quite like it. but if you know the show Mushishi, (蟲師) it reminds me so much of that, I always imagined John Silence as Ginko.
