In Anne of the Island, the third installment of Lucy Maud Montgomery's beloved series, Anne Shirley embarks on a new chapter of her life as she leaves the comforts of Green Gables to attend Redmond College in Kingsport. Here, she pursues her Bachelor of Arts degree, navigating the challenges and joys of young adulthood.

As Anne immerses herself in her studies, she encounters a vibrant cast of friends and rivals, each shaping her journey in unexpected ways. From the steadfast support of her best friend Diana to the complex relationship with Gilbert Blythe, Anne's experiences at college are filled with laughter, heartache, and self-discovery.

Set against the backdrop of early 20th-century Canada, this novel explores themes of friendship, ambition, and the bittersweet nature of growing up. Montgomery's rich storytelling and vivid characterizations invite listeners to reflect on their own journeys of growth and the enduring bonds that shape our lives.

Splendid!

Once more, these amazing readers have done a great job by reading this delightful book! Anne's voice is specially lovely. Some were in low quality, like Diana's, and Paul's voice has changed way so much. But I can't complain much. I will most definitely miss these voices in the next book (which is not in Public Domain, sadly!), and can't wait until I get to the the fifth book to hear the amazing dramatization again!

i think Diana's voice is better in this book than the others

such a great cast. I enjoyed listening to it thoroughly while I was at home sick. Hope you'll record more.

best narration/dramatization ever!

I have listened to this (and all the other “Anne Books” 😊) multiple times because I so dearly love the readers in this series. Ariel Lipshaw IS Anne Shirley. More than anyone else could ever be. I’ve had the opportunity to purchase these audiobooks without commercials/interruptions on my other audiobook apps and I still come back and listen to them here because the readers are so much a part of the book for me. They bring the characters to life in such a way that I can’t quite put into words. It’s like being with dear friends. You feel you’re a part of the household at Patty’s Place. Thank you, wonderful readers, for your efforts. ❤️

Beautiful story

This story isn’t quite as whimsical and care-free as the previous two, it’s a bit more somber, Anne is entering womanhood and learning some hard life lessons about loss and losing her ideals. But it is still dear old Anne. The recording is mostly good quality, there are some rough bits here and there, but worth the listen!
