No Great Magic
Fritz Leiber
Read by Phil Chenevert
They were a traveling group of Shakespearean players; perfectly harmless, right? wrong. For one thing, why did they have spacemen costumes in their wardrobes, next to caveman ones? Why was the girl in charge of backstage suffering from amnesia and agoraphobia? No Great Magic is needed to perform the plays they put on, but sometimes great science. No matter where, or when. Listen to "The Big Time" by Fritz Leiber also and this will make a whole lot more sense! Even though they both leave you scratching your head wondering what you just listened to.

Until the final chapter, this is primarily a slightly psychedelic, stream of conscious character study. Slightly surreal. But I'm glad I stuck with it, because the reveal in the final chapter made the material before it suddenly much more interesting. Very well read.
Can you play ...?
