The Rule of Saint Benedict (Regula Benedicti) is a book of precepts written by St. Benedict of Nursia for monks living communally under the authority of an abbot. Since about the 7th century it has also been adopted by communities of women. During the 1500 years of its existence, it has become the leading guide in Western Christianity for monastic living in community. Benedictine Oblates will use this excellent recording to bring the Holy Rule of Saint Benedict into more parts of their day and night and dinner table and travel and shopping and..... Thank you to all the readers of the Rule for making this available to the public, but especially to Oblates. The kindness and skill of these LibriVox volunteers is much appreciated. The audio recording is excellent.

I've known about Benedictine Monks and Saint Benedict for a while, but there is nothing quite like hearing the rule of St. Benedict in its entirety.
