Bible (KJV) 21: Ecclesiastes
King James Version
Read by LibriVox Volunteers
Ecclesiastes, a profound work from the King James Version, explores the complexities of human existence and the search for meaning. Through the reflections of an unnamed narrator, often referred to as the Preacher, the text delves into the futility of human endeavors when pursued without divine guidance.
Set against the backdrop of ancient wisdom literature, Ecclesiastes presents a series of contemplative observations on life, work, and the inevitability of death. It challenges readers to consider the value of their pursuits and the transient nature of worldly pleasures.
With its thought-provoking themes and philosophical inquiries, this book invites listeners to reflect on their own lives and the ultimate purpose of existence. The concluding verses encapsulate its essence, urging a reverence for God and adherence to His commandments as the foundation of a meaningful life.

Love the book of Ecclesiastes. Must they always let just anyone read? Lack of emotion takes away from every story ever read aloud. Ack!
Greatest book ever written
Josh Scott
Greatest book ever written. Other versions are clearer than the KJV.

A thought-provoking book about the emptiness of life without God. As the NIV puts it, 'He has set eternity in the hearts of men' (3:11). We are all seeking that something more our whole lives, but shall not truly find it till we pass to the other side. The first three readers were great.
