I almost gave this a mss after reading previous reviews but I'm glad I decided to try it. Perhaps it has been re recorded? There are occasional mis pronunciations, but the other comments don't seem valid. I found the reading far better than many on Librovox.
Loooved the story

Going back to learn more about these characters that we loved from Eight Cousins was so amazing!! Loved the story , loved the characters even though both were a little preachy at times. It took a little time to adjust to the narrator though.
Loved it!

Reader was great, story amazing. Louisa May Alcott is one of my favorite authors, and she has not failed. Occasional mispronunciations, but not too noticeable. Very clear and easy to understand. Five stars! It may be for a little bit older children, though. Not inappropriate, but younger children may not appreciate it as much as tweens and teens.
Such a Favorite!

This is one of my favorite Alcott books, and I didn't mind the reader at all. Yes, some words were mispronounced....but hey, she's a volunteer! She did a great job! The story is so sweet and captivating too, with recurring themes and delightful word pictures. I love it.
