The Pursuit of the House-Boat
John Kendrick Bangs

This sequel to Bangs' A House-Boat on the Styx continues the "thought-experiment" of bringing various historical and fictional figures together, detailing the adventures of the ladies of Hades after they are kidnapped by pirates and the attempts of the Associated Shades (led by Sherlock Holmes) to retrieve their house-boat. Reviews
Sequel to The Enchanted Typewriter and A HouseBoat on the Styx
Vickyc
Once again the author invites you to enter his imaginary world peopled by historical celebrities, who often do not act as you would imagine. This book is full of high jinks and comedy as the ladies have eloped into Europe, taking the HouseBoat with them (much to the annoyance of their husbands, as it is their clubhouse). Extremely amusing and well read.
Unfortunately Sound Quality of Recording I Really Bad

I absolutely loved the first book in this series The House-Boat on the Styx, and was eager to continue the story with the Pursuit. Unfortunately the sound quality was so bad I was forced to give up. This is one that I would love to see redone. I believe it would be of additional interest to fans of Sherlock Holmes.

Enjoyable but didn't seem as funny as the first one. There were spots I couldn't make out due to audio issues but not so many that I couldn't finish the story. Adding Holmes was great for me!
