Fantastics and Other Fancies
Lafcadio Hearn
Read by Ben Tucker
This posthumous collection of short stories by noted author and historian of weird folklore brings together 36 of his earliest works, many of them brief romantic sketches of phantasmagoric imagery, supernatural occurrences and tales from far away places. H. P. Lovecraft said of this collection in his seminal essay Supernatural Horror in Literature that it "contains some of the most impressive ghoulishness in all literature". WONDERFUL
Shelly
Thank you Ben Tucker. Found this gem in following your readings. A mind blowing assortment of subjects . Some history, myth, fantasy and assorted flights of fancy. Ben's reading always reflects and enhancies the mood and incredibly poetic language. It's gone into my favourites.
Interesting for their time period

I found the language very modern for the time they were written, but none of them really grabbed my attention.
