Emphasising common sense and thought for the patient's care in many more ways than just administering physician-prescribed medicines, this is still a very relevant book for those interested in health or caring for the sick and infirm today.

It seems to me that modern nursing has propped up Nightingale as an idol, while forgetting about the bulk of what she taught. Simple, profound, and important for female and male nurses to internalize. The reader was clear and engaging. A great listen.
