Reviews
Great book! Great reader!
Wendy Mathieu
I really enjoyed this book. It very much describes the ups and downs of the inner Christian life. Although I am not a believer that all bad events come from God, I do believe that we are meant to draw closer to him in every situation. I almost didn't read it because of a review that said the reader was too fast and I listen to help get to sleep. She is an excellent reader!! Looking forward to more books by her.

I know the book is fictional. Elizabeth Prentiss created a ârubber meets the roadâ account of the Christian life, though. Theresa L. Downey captures the essence in her reading. If you star listening to this recording, I hope you have time to keep listening, because that is what you will want to do!
Exceptional Book, Nicely Narrated

Wow! What a book! Absolutely amazing insight at the workings of a (often!) struggling woman’s faith-walk. This book is very realistic in its portrayal of how the Christian walk often goes (it’s hard, there are trials and setbacks), and yet it also is very instructional and inspirational about how our faith in Him can be strengthened and how it does in fact grow over time. I love how the main character had a besetting sin that she struggled with for most of the book. I loved how her family loved her inspite if it. I loved how she ended up being a fantastic prayer warrior after starting her Christian life as an unenthusiastic pray-er. I loved how she realized that her joy was not in the things of this world but in Christ. The story does get pretty sad in the last quarter of the book. Lots of loss and grief.
One of my Favorite Books!

A wonderful book written by a faithful servant of God. All of Elizabeth Prentiss’ books are of exceptional quality both in her writing and in her Christian faith. Her works are needed now more than ever by girls and women who aspire to a closer walk with Christ in a life of fruitful service.
To be like this!

This is an awesome book. I read it many years ago, and was happy to have found it here. To have faith like this, trust in God like this. Yes, she struggled to come to the point of giving all, didn't we all? But she gave all to God. I didn't even see the attempt of people to give all today, sadly. I must also say that the woman who read this was awesome. I appreciate the way she read this book.

An absolutely beautiful portrayal of a Christian woman’s life as she moved from girlhood into married life and being a mother and the simplicity with which she relayed her spiritual growth from a frustrated and lukewarm Christian into a beautiful and mature follower of Christ, my favorite book of Christian fiction, would recommend for everyone to read, and the narrator did a superb job too!
Inspiring and faith-building

Elizabeth Prentiss did an outstanding job! Written in the first person, this book vividly describes the struggles of a young lady as she strives to please God and make the best decisions in life. I highly recommend it to all ladies, young and old. The narrator also is excellent!

An amazing book that makes you go from being horrified at Katy's behavior, to loving her and yerning to be like and her mother in every way! Really great reader as well!
