i feel it should have been longer, more room for events, i wish it had more to it since the characters are very well established. well read as always by Gregg

Neat if a bit short story

(4 stars)

I'd love to see this story expanded on and made into a movie. Rastignac is part of a group of humans that are controlled by living skins that they wear like clothing. Ew. Anyways, he along with others decide they are tired of being controlled and they stage a revolt. The story ends abruptly, so you might feel a bit unsatisfied with the ending, but the concept is cool and so is the storyline. Reader is very good. Easy to understand and nice mellow voice. I also grinningly mention that his style of reading is reminiscent of James T Kirk. :-) Hope to hear more books with him reading!

Couldn't finish it

(4 stars)

The reader has an unfortunate habit of emphasizing every word. It's incredibly distracting. Too bad because his tone of voice is great. But it. is. not. necessary. to. punctuate. every. word.

not bad

short and sweet. a little hard to track what's going on for some reason but maybe that was just me, it didn't grab me. extremely well read as always.

In french?

Merci bcp mais dommage pour moi qu'on ne trouve pas de traduction en français (traduction in french) de cette oeuvre, car PJF est sûrement mon auteur de SF fantasy préféré!

Weird, in a good way.

Skins, a new way to rule the world? This was a good but short story, it has some strange and yet neat concepts. I liked it.

Unusual concept

Excellent reading and captivating short story. Quite an unusual idea to keep a society so called civilized.

Good world-building, but...

...a lot of summary throughout. The ending was anticlimactic. Excellent reading, nonetheless.
