Pride and Prejudice (version 4)
Jane Austen
Read by Elizabeth Klett
Pride and Prejudice is Jane Austen's classic comic romance, in which the five Bennett sisters try to find that most elusive creature: a single man in possession of a large fortune. Sparks fly when sweet, pretty Jane meets their new neighbor, Mr. Bingley, but her sister Elizabeth is most offended by his haughty friend, Mr. Darcy. This is Austen at the height of her powers: the ironic narration, hilariously drawn supporting characters, and romantic suspense make this her most enduringly popular novel. Masterfully narrated
I liked it :)
Prof. Klett delivers a wonderful narration of this classic. I enjoyed every moment and looked forward to returning each evening to hear more. Sincere thanks, Prof. Klett!

This will be a strange but sincerely grateful review. This narrator is a joy to listen to. Therefore, I sometimes listen to this book at night in bed. It not only helps me fall asleep but if I wake up in the night I can judge how long I've been asleep. This is important to me because many times I dream I'm awake for hours, that I can't sleep and not getting any rest. If I went to bed listening to this wonderful narration, I need only listen to where I am in the story and I know not only that yes, I've been asleep, but also how long and that I'm not suffering insomnia.
Delightful literature read by an equally delightful narrator

I adore this reading of Pride and Prejudice. Thanks to the lovely Elizabeth Klett, I was not only able to enjoy this book in the comfort of my own home, but also while I was out and about or while doing things like cooking and cleaning. Her clear and pleasant narration enabled me to more clearly understand some of Jane Austen's more difficult to read sentences or passages, thus heightening my enjoyment of the work. Hope to listen to more of her wonderful voice work in the future :)
Professional quality, highly recommend

After trying some of the most popular (in terms of views) audiobooks from librivox i was sceptical. The idea itself seemed great, but the quality of the audio and the reading were poor. I started to dig deeper and it finds out, that there are some readers that do not come short compared to professional readers. Elizabeth Klett is one of them. Great audio quality, amazing reading - articulation and personification on professional level. I was under an impression that the reader is a fan of this book, had read it many times and can cite large parts from memory. Every character was delivered with deep understanding of this character's personality. Well deserved 5 / 5 stars
The best reader on LibriVox

So many years had passed since I listened to these audiobooks that I've had forgotten how amazing it is to listen to anything recorded by Elisabeth Klett. All LibriVox volunteers are amazing for donating their time and effort, but everything in the versions by Klett is amazing. The sweet voice, the calm cadence, the accent. And the way she creates a voice for every character, respecting the personalities and not making it like a caricature. I just wanted to thank her for all the books she had recorded.
Wonderfully read!

An entertaining fairytale. The reader did an absolutely wonderful job which included individual voices to help identify the characters. Thank you for all your time and effort. I was struck by the kindness and understanding of the two oldest daughters towards their mother, who seemed constantly overbearing and annoyingly intrusive. Their father's way of dealing with her was a bit humorous and seemed to help him keep his sanity. I loved the scene where Elizabeth stood up to Mr. Darby's haughty and domineering aunt.
A LibriVox Listener
A good reader, verry suitable to the book. Sometimes at the ens of the book she reads a little faster so it's hard to hear who of the characters are talking, but that is no big problem (just me having a little default in my own hearing) and is just her being very in the moment in the book 😊 Thank you for reading it ❤
What a joy to listen to

Thanks to Ms. Klett! What an absolute gem of an audiobook. I don't care much for the style, or the setting, find almost every single passage of thought or dialogue as pompous and ridiculous as the book wants reserved for Mr. Collins alone, but the storytelling, and the reading of it, captivated me.
