The Mountain Girl

A delightful love-story, genuinely American in feeling and treatment. The story is stirring, the heroine is ideal. (Summary by the Chicago Tribune, from time of publishing) (0 hr 51 min)

I liked the story a lot and there were some really nice readers. Kept me up for hours last night!

(4 stars)

It was a sweet story but the mother got me a little angry. I understand that at all of Europe’s nobility was a clique, but she cared more for what society would think about her than her son’s happiness. David also underwent an unpleasant character change 3/4 through the book but in the end redeemed himself. Cassandra was a sweetheart.

Really enjoyed this book

I loved the book. I was not sure during the first couple chapters that I wanted to continue but as the story progressed I was hooked. The readers were pretty good as well.

engaging story

There were a couple slow chapters but overall this was a great book. Wholesome and engaging.

Engaging story with vague ending.

Engaging story. Longer than expected but anticlimactic ending.
